Devlog 6: Production Sprint 1

This week we focused on refining the look of the scene. A new custom shader was made for the water surrounding the player
Other than the new shader we made a cute lil curtain that opens and closes when a new wall is spawning, this greatly improves the visuals of the level as well as making the wall spawning more readable!
Moreover, some simpler wall shapes have been implemented to help first-time players to get comfortable with the controls as well as making the game more rewarding.
The opera stage is also been updated by adding some extra details like more columns, chandeliers, refined details and fixed some scaling issues
Programming:
We've changed the bending mechanic of player2 from rotating the whole body to moving the body sideways.
Another enhancement we've introduced is the refinement of the bumper and trigger keys' behavior. The bumper key will now control the bending behavior and holding the trigger key will switch the movement of the lower part of the limb. Players can now seamlessly switch between lower and underleg actions using these keys. This modification enhances the fluidity and responsiveness of gameplay, empowering players with more control over their actions.
A color indicator has also been introduced to indicate how well the players are matching the incoming wall.
Art:
Two new obstacles and a camera prop were added this week, adding variety to the environment. Also the design for the mechanic that moves the shapes forward was made this week :).
The models for the shape blocker mechanic were also created. but this mechanic will be implemented in the next sprint.
The audience members from last week got some animations to react to the player, but this also needs to be added next sprint.
3D models aside 1 of the artists looked for and created some of the sound effects. they may not be the best quality :O but it will make the game feel more alive once implemented.
Game feel wise we still have a lot to work. But this is where the next couple of weeks are for :D
